There are so many hotel options in Orlando, choosing one is like traversing a maze. You need to choose a hotel based on what parks and attractions you would like to visit. (if you haven't yet done this check out the other pages in this site to help you decide)

If you plan on visting the Disney parks (and you can definitely spend a whole vacation here) staying in the park is a huge convenience. Many of the hotels are rather pricey though,so if you are cutting corners be sure to stay at the AllStar Resort (music or sport) these prices are generally in the seventy-five dollars a night range. You can catch a shuttle from the airport right to your hotel. You can also get a shuttle from your hotel to any of the sights on Disney property you would like to see. This will eliminate the need for you to rent a car and save you quite a chunk of change!

Another option is to stay in Kissimmee on the main road called HWY192. These hotels charge from twenty-five dollars and up per night. Most have shuttle service to the parks and many provide airport service as well.

Visiting more than Disney??
The Disney complex is actually located about 15 minute south of Orlando, while Sea World and Universal are located closer to the hotel vein that runs through the tourist area along International Drive(I-drive, as the locals call it). If you plan on going to these parks ONLY, I would recommend staying on I-drive. Hotels range a night and up and most provide airport and park shuttle service. BUT if you plan on visiting Disney, even one day, be prepared to fight traffic!! The main highway between these 2 areas is driven by tons of locals to get back and forth to work.

Make Reservations!!!
This area is a huge convention town, so even if it is SUPPOSED to be out of season, you may mot be able to just roll into town and find a hotel! You should definitely call ahead! Also, consider renting a vacation home for the week. If you are traveling with more than 4 or 5 people, this can be a much more economical option. You will be able to cook some of your own meals, thus saving $$$ and most come with the same amenities as a hotel but will sleep more people comfortably. You can find these starting around eight-hundred and fifty dollars a week. (that comes to about one hundred-twenty-five dollars per day)
