The Magical Massive Maze of Disney.
The Disney complex is just that...complex...It is made up of 4 theme parks, 2 water parks, a campground(with its own water park) more than 9 night clubs, a movie theater with 24 screens, a "university" several hotels, a pay-one-price video arcade, Cirque du Soliel, and more shops and restaurants than you could possibly visit in a week. I'm going to do my best to describe the merits AND the downfalls of some of these and hopefully you'll glean a few tips to avoid the hassles that can accompany a "Disney" vacation. I'm also going to recommend that you go to the "HelpfulHints" page OR the bottom of this page and look for the "Secrets to an AFFORDABLE Walt Disney World Vacation" link. This could save you up to 40% on your vacation!!! (Imagine what you could do with that kind of money!) Check it out for yourself!!

  The Parks-The Magic Kingdom
Let's start at the top of the heap, the original attraction, home of Cinderella's castle, The Magic Kingdom. This park is full of rides and shows that are geared toward younger kids. As such, it is like wading through a sea of strollers. Now, don't get me wrong, strollers are all fine and good, but if you are traveling without kids, it can grate on your nerves to be surrounded by them! If you are NOT traveling with kids head to the far right or far left of the park and avoid the middle -Fantasyland- at all costs. On your left, in the far back corner, you will find Splash Mountain and Thunder Railroad in Frontierland. On the far right you will find Tomorrowland-Space Mountain and Alien Encounter. On the other hand, if you ARE traveling with kids head straight for the train as soon as you come in and take it to Mickey's Toontown Fair.(check my link page for the "Disney Secrets" site. It has great inside info) Here you will be able to see Mickey Mouse all day. Get it out of the way first thing so you don't have to listen to the kids ask to see him ALL DAY!!!

Epcot Center.
Epcot Center is a huge park full of fascinating exhibits with a few rides thrown in for good measure. A great park for kids with a decent attention span and most adults. The front half of the park is devoted to technologies and the like. On the right hand side, there is an ocean exhibit that is pretty cool and right next to that is an agricultural pavillion with the greatest cafeteria! Also on that side is the 3D movie "Honey I shrunk the audience" and neat interactive stuff for the kids. On the right, there is the Energy attraction with some great "dinosaurs" and the Human body pavillion. Here you will find Body Wars- a simulator ride that takes you into the human body like Fantatic Voyage. The back half of the park is filled with the countries of the world, and a small part of the culture from each country. In the evening, there is a beautiful show called Illuminations, with lasers, lights, and fireworks.

Animal Kingdom
Another one day park, Animal Kingdom is lots of fun for the little ones in your group. Playgrounds on the right and left hand sides, along with the Tree of Life-Bug's Life show make this a park that will make kids and parents happy. Here's a tip: Get there extremely early (They open at 8AM most days) and go straight to the back of the park to the safari. The earlier it is, the more animals are out!

MGM Studios
MGM Studios is a great park. There is stuff to do for the young -Doug Live, Little Mermaid Show, Muppet 3D Adventure- and the older-Tower of Terror, Aerosmith Rollercoaster, and Star Tours. This park is definitely a one day park, if you plan it right. There is a spectacular fireworks show at this park which I have never seen. They tell you to go wait at the area 2 hours ahead of the show to get a good seat for the show...I don't have that kind of patience...if you do, plan to eat where you sit and wait.
